Historical building being preserved and refurbished. Wonderful early 20th century atmosphere.

      Could use WiFi.

We chose this loction having stayed there several times ~ we knew it was "quaint and an important part of Eureka's rich history.

No ice available until bar opened @ 6:00 pm - we had medication that required being refrigerated and needed to keep juice & snacks cool for a diabetic. Had inquired about availability on this prior (via e-mail) but never received response. No little fridge in room. Beautiful small pool on site but were dismayed to find it was not heated - too cold for Eureka climate. Also, person who checked us in seemed "annoyed" to be doing so - rest of staff was great.

Plenty of parking, the couple of Staff I met where nice.

Smelly old barn, big and empty. Had to change rooms as first one smelt bad. Second was ok.

THe hotel is under very slow renovation process. It was bought by Chinese investors and looks and feels like China countryside. May be a star with 10-15mln dollars in smart investment but presently just a hole in the wall.

We love the historic building and it's history and we love Eureka. We also enjoyed seeing our favorite front desk clerk Jessica. We love the Eureka area.

      No cafe yet.

We especially loved the beauty of the hotel. We felt as thought we had stepped back in time. It was lovely.

A few times we came to the front desk to ask for help, ie; extention cord, maps, asked to connect the phone so we could make a local call. They were not able to help us with any of that. We were also very disappointed in the continental breakfast. Very little to choose from. We went out for breakfast both mornings we were there.

Nothing. I think you guys need to take this place off your Web site,. Let me begin. On 8/23/11 We got to the Hotel around 2:30 P.m when we check in they could not find My reservation. No big deal to me there were only three people in the hotel, anyways when we got our room room # 331 the room was hot so look for the A.c to cool the room! This Hotel has no A.c so down We went to ask the girl at the Desk and ask her does this hotel have A.c she said no! Well do you have a fan no! Well we don' t want this room so she gave Us a key to another room room # 227 and she said ck this room out to see if it is cooler, so We decided this will do since we can not get a refund. So we took it. This place reeks urine small and is dirty, has no Ice Machine no bar no nothing. Free breakfast... A dried up sweet roll and Coffee! Oh boy.

This Hotel needs to closed down to do the Public a favor! This is no joke. It is a heath issue and a fire hazard because behind our bed in room 227 there is 220 wire coming out of the wall and the end is taped up laying on the carpet, a child could easily get behind there and get electrocuted. There is no basic handicap rails in the bathrooms and the window have pealing paint and don'tclose properly. That's why this is one of the reasons this place needs to be closed down. Oh yea, I just wasted 93.00 to sleep in a Dump.

The room need some renovation work to be done.

I was impressed with the historic nature of the hotel. The location was very good, close to Old Town and Hwy. 101. Very quiet even with the window open. The public areas are quite grand but the rooms are painfully plain. Free parking

I have stayed in hotels for 35 years as a flight attendant and this is the first time I ever had a room without a closet. It had a hall tree with 2 hooks. Ice bucket but no working ice machine

Close to downtown/historic Eureka(within walking distance)

We had trouble checking in the front desk thought we had booked 2 rooms instead of one and there was confusion as to what was going on. We had to visit 3 unclean rooms before they found a room that had been cleaned by maid service. The facilities were unique but not clean, comfortable or luxury.

It was in a good location and within walking distance of Old Town. Quiet too.

The mattress was a little hard but that's something that is to your own tastes.

Just that I can now say I stayed thereas I had heard about it from years back. Would I stay there again not until they do some major remodeling.

Again it just needs a major remodel

The Eureka Inn is a memorable historic inn, located within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops and old town Eureka. It's a beautiful building with lots of character with an amazing lobby, complete with a grand fireplace - gas fired - and comfortable couch and arm chairs for lounging in.

The amenities, such as wi-fi, were frustrating. While the receptionist said that there is wi-fi service in the rooms, for practical purposes, there wasn't. I was able to log on to my laptop from the lobby, but even that was intermittent. The room lacked basic info, such as a pamphlet telling you the phone # for the front desk and the wi-fi code. There was also no iron or ironing board in the room. While it is understandable that there weren't many people in such a large hotel, they could do a better job making those who are there feel welcome, with little details like fresh cut flowers or chocolates...this is what high end hotels do and it makes the guest feel truly appreciated.

The Inn was an old, historic structure. I liked the fireplace and the wood trim. For me the Inn was about as expected from the website description.

My wife thought the bed was rather worn and stains on the carpet turned her off. The breakfast was pretty bare bones...we passed.

It looks very nice on the outside, and is not far to go to restaurants, old town, and historic town. It's obvious they are renovating, the ground lobby floor had been done and a couple of floors were closed for renovation. The ground floor was quite gorgeous with large seating area with gas fireplace operating, the restaurant had been newly redone (and the kitchen we heard), and the bar lounge area looked quite nice and had live music on the Sat. Night we were there I'd like to go back in a year to see the place refurbished, looks like it will be quite grand. The continental breakfast was very continental, just the basics but that was ok. Plenty of parking lot allotted to the Inn, well lit at night.

Since we were in an old area of the Inn the halls and rooms looked tired and needed some fixing up. But I'm not complaining, we were happy with the price and the bed was comfortable, and think it will be a great place to stay, I think Spring 2013 is their goal for the refurbishing.
